Why are your Thai cooking courses that expensive?
For that amount of money I can eat in a luxury restaurant, and I am being waited on!

You are perfectly right: our courses are not cheap. But we also offer you a lot: a five course menu plus all beverages, the experience to learn something new in a relaxed atmosphere, to apply it and to see a real result that you can enjoy with all your senses.
Our costs to prepare everything and to take care of you are high: For example, we spend hours just to get all the fresh ingredients. And a typical evening keeps the two of us busy from 5 to 12 p.m. We therefore think that the prices we charge are justified.

Why don't you publish the menu plans on the website?
Because we would like to surprise you a bit with our menus. And there is one more reason: Certain courses that may sound a little unusual often turn out to become the favourites of the participants... A perfect example for this is our pork salad (Laab Muu): Many students would not even think of choosing that course. But after they have cooked and tasted it, they become real fans of that salad.

Do you cater to vegetarian students as well?
Absolutely. We love to cook vegetarian courses - even if you are the only vegetarian in the group. But you should let us know well in advance. The same applies to people who are allergic to certain ingredients (e.g. Thai coriander).

Can I get recipes from Thai Cooking?
Our recipes are certainly not secret, but they are part of our company assets. That's why we hand them out exclusively to the participants of the corresponding courses - sorry!

Where can I buy all the exotic ingredients?
Your best bet is a Thai or Asia shop. Although Migros and other major vendors sell some Thai ingredients, you will not get all you need. So there is no way around a specialty store. And surprise: The latter are even cheaper than Migros...
Good shops in Zurich are New Asia Market (Feldstrasse 24, 8005 Zurich), Asia Store (Zürich Hauptbahnhof: Railcity-Sihlquai or Bahnhof Oerlikon: Gleis 6-Sektor C; no website) and Chiang Mai Thai Shop, (Zollstrasse 56, 8005 Zurich)
If you prefer to shop online, we recommend Zutaten-Shop.

Can you name some references?
With pleasure. We often serve closed groups. Companies book our courses for team events. Here are a few names: Credit Suisse, Hotel Gravas, IBM, Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund, Siemens, Raiffeisen Banken, Sipro AG, Swiss International School, Swiss Re, UBS, etc.
